#SwagGoals: Why We’re Holiday-Prepping Now (and You Should Too)

At Five Acres, we’re getting ready for the holidays this summer. That means thinking through our gifting strategy—budget, team responsibilities, vendors, etc.—and ordering branded swag months ahead of time. Here’s why we’re preparing our holiday gifts now—and your business should too.

It’s the most wonderful—and busiest—time of the year

Does it feel too early to get in the holiday spirit? We get it. However, if you wait until October or November to start preparing, it’s likely too late (been there 🙋). For most businesses, the holiday season is the most hectic time of year. That can make non-essential tasks, like holiday gifting, fall by the wayside. Don’t miss the chance to show appreciation for your community and keep your brand top of mind. Take time before things get hectic to make a plan.

Gifting swag? Be sure to consider:

  • Who’s in charge of logistics and design

  • The network you’ll be giving to, which may include current and prospective clients, brand partners, employees, etc.

  • Swag ideas

  • Potential vendors

  • Your budget

Heartfelt gifts are the best gifts

Our team believes in creating with love. In fact, it’s one of our favorite core values. Here’s why: When you have the space to infuse passion into a project, the end-result shows.

By starting your holiday prep now, you’ll have time to create with both love and intention. Whether it be a branded notebook and card, a coffee tumbler and bag of local beans, or a cozy crewneck and candle, a thoughtful gift outshines something thrown together at the last minute every time.

The supply chain struggle is real

At this point, supply chain issues are nothing new. While this year will hopefully be a step up from last, get ahead of the curve so you’re not out of luck when the holidays hit.

The earlier the order, the better. Not only will you have more of a selection, but you won’t have to compromise on customization either. Bonus: How good will it feel to get gifting done early?!

When it comes to selecting vendors, we choose to #shopsmall as much as possible. It can alleviate some of the supply chain woes and sometimes be more cost-effective. Plus, it just feels good to put your money where your house is.

Your budget will thank you

Rush charges? Expedited shipping? Not a chance. Order early so you don’t have to worry about spending more at the last minute. Every day you wait means potentially higher prices.

We’re savoring every last bit of summer, but always looking ahead—and looking out for our clients. Our goal: Prep now so we can celebrate later.
