The Challenge
Dorco approached Five Acres in the middle of running a strained marketing campaign. The message they were communicating was not connecting with their audiences and their photography and visual style lacked luster and quality. Their digital marketing teams were on different pages and were putting out different messages and visuals across platforms (email, website, and social campaigns). On top of all of this, Dorco headquarters rolled out a new logo and brand aesthetic that needed to be slowly introduced and integrated across platforms.
Our Solution
One vision, once voice. Five Acres provided creative consultation services to oversee all digital marketing materials delivered on a monthly basis, working directly with the e-commerce, web, and social media teams. By creating one vision for the brand and maintaining consistency of visuals and messaging we began to start establishing trust with the customer. We also brought “one voice” to all platforms creating unique copy and micro-campaigns throughout the digital media schedule.

Dorco creates amazing, affordable shaving products and needed a campaign that showed the quality of their razors without seeming pretentious or looking too expensive. We brought this through in messaging with a “No Fluff, No BS” approach. We were always direct about the product offering and supplemented that with dry, quirky humor throughout all other touch points. By integrating humor into the campaign we created an approachable, youthful and unpretentious feel keeping the audience entertained and looking for more.
High quality images that tell a simple story (and create flexibility).
Five Acres provided creative direction and production on professional lifestyle imagery. We evolved the past campaign that showed images of Dorco products on the desk of a marketer by creating imagery that showed Dorco products as they could be used in everyday life of the consumers (tucked in a bag, on a bathroom counter). A digital image library of hundreds of photos were created and made available for all digital teams to pull from, adding consistency to the overall look and feel.
